Most companies will not put a number on a page. Here is ours — every symptom we get called about, with the range it usually lands in. These are our own figures, from jobs we have finished, not an industry average someone copied off a blog.
That is what it costs to have the appliance looked at properly — not guessed at from a phone call. It comes off the repair, so if you go ahead with the work you are not paying it twice.
You get the price before anything is taken apart. If the repair turns out to be the wrong move, we will tell you that too, and you have paid $69 to find out instead of $400 to find out the hard way.
Roughly eighty-five percent of repairs for a given symptom finish inside the range shown on this page. The other fifteen go either way — lower as well as higher — depending on what the diagnosis turns up.
Every figure on this page is parts and labour together, for the repair itself. Prices are for Fort Worth, Keller and the surrounding cities we cover; they are what we charge, not a national estimate.
Prices below are the repair itself. The $69 diagnostic comes off that figure, so what you see here is what you pay once the machine is fixed.
Same jobs, different machine. Top-loaders share most of their failures with front-loaders, but a few — the gearcase especially — are their own thing.
Dryers are the cheapest major appliance to fix and the one people replace soonest for no good reason. Most of what goes wrong is heat, airflow or something turning that should not be.
Refrigerators have the widest spread of anything we work on, because “not cold” can mean a $40 part or a sealed-system job. We do sealed-system work ourselves — recovery, brazing and recharge — so a leak does not automatically mean a new fridge.
Electric ranges and wall ovens. Gas range pricing is not published here yet — call and we will quote it over the phone.
Worth knowing before you read these: a $450 dishwasher on a store shelf costs around $800 by the time it is delivered, hooked up to water and drain, and the old one is gone. That changes most of these decisions.
This is the part people forget, and it is the reason a repair that looks expensive usually is not. The number on the price tag at the store is not the number you pay.
Put together: a dishwasher on the shelf at $450 costs about $790–$890 installed. A refrigerator at $1,200 is closer to $1,650 once the old one is legally disposed of. That is the figure a repair should be measured against — not the shelf price.
No. It comes off the repair. If the repair is $285, you pay $285 in total, not $354. You only pay the $69 on its own if you decide not to go ahead with the work.
Because the same symptom has more than one cause. A dishwasher leaking on the floor can be the pump, or it can be the door seal, and those are not the same job. The range covers the realistic causes. Roughly 85% of jobs finish inside it; the rest go either way depending on what we find.
Yes. Every figure on this page is parts and labour together for the completed repair.
Our rule of thumb: once the repair gets to about two-thirds of what a new one truly costs — delivery, installation and disposal included, not the shelf price — the money usually goes further on a new machine with a warranty. Below that, repairing is almost always the cheaper move. We will tell you which side you are on before you spend anything.
For some things, yes — the ranges on this page are the honest version of a phone quote. For anything that could be three different faults, no, and anyone who gives you a firm number sight unseen is guessing or planning to change it later.
No. The prices on this page are the prices.
All the ones we service — Samsung, LG, GE, Whirlpool, Maytag, Frigidaire, KitchenAid, Kenmore, Bosch, Electrolux and the rest. High-end built-ins such as Sub-Zero, Thermador, Monogram and Dacor sit outside these ranges; call for those.
Not yet. Electric ranges and ovens are listed above; gas pricing is not published on this page at the moment, so call and we will go through it.
Our GE dryer suddenly stopped drying clothes, so we called Done Right Appliance Repair here in Keller. Andrew was able to come out the same day and fixed it in just one visit. Everything was quick and professional, and the dryer has been working great so far. Very happy with the service and would definitely recommend them!
